Happy Easter! What wonderful news it is: HE IS RISEN! Jesus conquered the grave and now lives in Heaven on the right hand of our Lord! Not only did He she shed His innocent blood and give His life so we could be forgiven, but He fulfilled his promise to rise again on the third day to have the final victory over sin and death. All this so WE could be saved and have the hope of eternal life with Him in Heaven some day! Such a loving, gracious God we serve!
"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." (Matthew 28:5-6)
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:18-20)
We had a nice weekend to spend together as a family...never a dull moment at our house! Between Minute to Win It, Easter egg hunts, coloring eggs, Insanity, and lots of eating, we kept quite busy. We all got so much candy this morning that we were hardly hungry for supper! But it was good time spent together and for that we are thankful!
Everyone is ready for their egg hunt...though Johnny must not be too pleased about it! :) The three oldest kids hid half the eggs for the younger three, and then vice versa.
This took talent!

Dad's birthday was Thursday...he graduated to the age where you only get one candle. The Oreo cupcakes were yummy!
Yes...the beautiful, delicious cupcakes.
This is what the boys did all last week. They don't have a sister around to keep them from wrestling. Apparently this is considered "fun." ;)

ReplyDeleteI would like to point out that the cupcakes were made by your mother. She read you comment, "compliments of Cafe Olde World" and was immediately emotionally devasted. It is pitiful that you misjudge the cupcake making skills of your own mom.

DeleteOk I undid my correction because I just realized it's April 1st.
