Mother-Daughter Time

This was our last sight of the men before they headed to Boundary Waters after church on Sunday!
As the boys keep you in suspense about their trip to Boundary Waters last week, I will write my quick summary of the girls' week in Minnesota.

After sending off the boys, Mom and I did our high fives and took off for St. Cloud, where we met Aunt Peggy and cousin Abby. There, I enjoyed my second big American meal since getting home from Mexico. We stayed in a hotel and tried to go shopping the next day, but Aunt Peggy was the only one who had enough stamina for the task so we finally decided to head to Hancock.

We spent time on the lake, visited Mom's relatives and former coach, played some frolf and dominoes, and ate a lot. Did I mention we ate? A DQ blizzard per day...until we started getting nauseous from simply looking at the DQ sign after the fourth day.

Since the boys were not able to contact us, it was pretty peaceful and we almost forgot they were off in the wilderness cooking over a fire. Almost...

The most wonderful part of the trip was the weekend because we had the opportunity to witness the testimony and baptism of our cousin Abby. It was very special and we are so happy for her!

The boys came back from Boundary Waters Saturday afternoon and barely made it back in time for the testimonies.

Upon their return after a week on the lake... :)
Many stories from their trip will (hopefully) be up soon when my brothers can find the energy to write again!
