We crossed the border into Florida at about 10:45 this
morning and stopped at the welcome center for information and, of course,
restroom breaks. It is very hot and humid here, and the boys found out right
away that there are bugs here that will take some getting used to.

Because we cannot show up at our home near Orlando until 4, we decided from there to drive to a state park to eat lunch and walk around. It was about fifteen minutes off the interstate. However, before anything else could happen, Dad saw a deal for Little Ceasar’s pizza (five dollars for a large pepperoni) so we went in and bought some pizza for the park. When we got there, it came to our attention that the park would cost money. So we instead had a pizza party in the van!

Meanwhile, Mom and Dad thoroughly enjoyed their carrots and apple slices as a healthy alternative.
